AI-4AI and Mikrobot Academy Kick Off AI Literacy Outreach for Young Innovators
The African Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI-4AI) and Mikrobot Academy have officially launched their AI literacy outreach program, marking the first milestone in their groundbreaking partnership.
As part of this initiative, AI-4AI conducted an interactive AI training session at Mikrobot Academy, introducing students to core AI concepts, machine learning, and ethical AI practices. The session featured hands-on projects, engaging discussions, and mentorship opportunities, allowing students to explore real-world AI applications in an interactive and inspiring environment.
"This outreach is more than just a training session—it’s about empowering the next generation to embrace AI as a tool for innovation and problem-solving," said Emmanuel Djaba, AI-4AI representative. "Seeing the enthusiasm and curiosity of these young learners reaffirms our mission to make AI education accessible across Africa."
Students got the chance to experiment with AI-powered tools, analyze real-life AI use cases, and engage with expert mentors, igniting their interest in AI-driven careers. The outreach session also highlighted the importance of ethical AI development, ensuring that students learn not just how AI works, but how to apply it responsibly.
With this first outreach successfully completed, AI-4AI and Mikrobot Academy are set to expand their collaboration with more training sessions, AI workshops, and innovation challenges in the coming months.
