Africa produces 2% of global AI research but consumes technologies that were never designed for our specific languages, economy, or data. This gap, between consumption and agency is what we exist to close.
The Problem We're Solving
Across Africa, AI is deployed to education, healthcare, finance, and agriculture, often with frameworks designed in Silicon Valley or Beijing. These solutions don't reflect African values, priorities, or contexts. They can entrench inequality, undermine data sovereignty, and sideline African talent.
Meanwhile, African researchers, educators, and policymakers have the expertise and passion to lead. They're just missing the institutions, resources, and platforms to do so at scale.
